GLADSTONE – United Evangelical Covenant Church in Gladstone will host a picnic/evangelical event in the main pavilion of Van Cleve Park on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature free food served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., live music and fun for all.
Society plans meeting
NAHMA TOWNSHIP – The Nahma Township Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 22, at the historical museum. Final plans will be made for the 11th Annual Senior Recognition Tea which will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10.
This program recognizes past/present residents of Nahma Township who are at least 80 years of age. To name a perspective honoree or for more information about the July 22 meeting, call 786-7766.
HERMANSVILLE – Playgroups are being offered at North Central Elementary School in Hermansville. They are scheduled to take place each Monday from 9:30-11 a.m. and are open to children between the ages of 1-4. The next scheduled session is July 21.
The groups will provide an opportunity for parents to play with their child and to socialize with other parents and children and will feature stories, music, crafts, and snacks.

Rock Lions to host
ROCK – The Rock Lions will host their monthly Third Sunday all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on Sunday, July 20, with serving from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rock Lions Club on M-35 in Rock.
The buffet includes eggs prepared to order and omelets, bacon, sausage, ham, fried potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy, pancakes, French toast, English muffins, cereal, a variety of fruits, dessert items, and beverages.
Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Children under 5 are free of charge.
The Rock Lions Club is a non-profit service organization that provides funding for charitable organizations and local needs.
in Ludington Park
ESCANABA – The third concert in the City of Escanaba’s “Music Mondays” series will feature ToHuBoHu, a trio of Escanaba-based troubadours playing blues, jazz, and alternative country with a touch of New Orleans.
The concert will be held in the Karas Bandshell in Escanaba’s Ludington Park from 79 p.m. on July 21. A 50/50 raffle will be held to benefit the Carefree Dental Clinic. All bands are sponsored by Blues for a Cause.
