Carol A. Aho

ESCANABA – Carol A. Aho, 66, of Escanaba, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born June 23, 1948, in Escanaba and was the daughter of Gordon and Clarona (Flemel) Micheau. Carol attended school in Powers, moved and worked at Big Boy in Milwaukee and later graduated from Escanaba High School. Carol was employed at Northern Michigan Veneer Company in Gladstone and at the Terrace Bay Inn in Gladstone in housekeeping.

The former Carol Micheau married Ronald Aho on Aug. 26, 1969, in Iron Mountain, Mich., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2009. Carol was a member of the Escanaba Eagles Club Auxiliary and enjoyed camping, the outdoors, flowers and was a homemaker.

Carol A. Aho is survived by: brothers and sisters, Fred (Myrtle) Brousseau of Escanaba, Roger Brousseau of Escanaba, Gloria Hoida of Mesa, Ariz., Stephen (Lynn Hills) Micheau of Mesa, Ariz., Connie (Joe) Kobasic of Escanaba; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Leonard (Len) Brousseau.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Eagle Auxiliary services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Carol A. Aho will be held immediately following the Eagles service at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Emmett Norden officiating.

Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services at the Escanaba Eagles Hall. The family would like to give a special thank you to Sherri Brousseau and Jodi Kobasic and family for caring for Carol in a very special way.
