Golf outing helps scholarship fund
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Bay College and the Bay College Foundation:
Bay College and the Bay College Foundation would like to give a huge thanks to all of the golfers, sponsors, and supporters for their 24th Scholarship Golf Outing held July 17 at the Escanaba Country Club. The Bay College Golf Outing was the first charity golf outing to be started in Delta County. Since inception, 222 students have benefited from scholarships and the fund continues to grow to support student success through scholarships at Bay College and advance education in our community. Without scholarship assistance and this bridge of opportunity, many students would not be able to afford a college education. The backing this community gives Bay College is amazing, and we cannot thank each of you enough for your continuing support.
From the Escanaba Hockey Team and parents:
Thank you Elmer’s County Market for hosting the Escanaba High School Hockey Team’s sandwich sale. Your staff was very helpful and wonderful to work with. Thanks again from the Escanaba Hockey Team and parents.
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
