Caregivers Support

Group meets Aug. 12

ESCANABA – The Escanaba Caregivers Support Group will meet at the Penstar Building Center, 1401 N 26th St. Suite 211, Escanaba, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m.

K-Dance Express

offers free classes

ESCANABA – K-Dance Express Dance Studio will be holding three free dance classes to new students for boys and girls ages 3 and 4 who are not enrolled in K-Dance. The classes will be held Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 19-21.

Classes consist of learning basic motor skills and dance steps, and using musical instruments.

Morning sessions are from 10:30-11:30 with afternoon sessions running from 1-2.

LSCP Luncheon

set for Tuesday

MARQUETTE – The Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) will be holding a Quarterly Luncheon on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Holiday Inn beginning at 12 p.m. The event will feature a Marquette County update from County Administrator Scott Erbisch.

This is a chance to get a better understanding of all that impacts the county’s ability to provide services for the citizens and businesses of the region. There will be a chance for questions at the end of his presentation.

Lunch will be included with the presentation. Tickets are $20 for LSCP partners and $30 for non-partners. Visit www.marquette.org to register.

Early-bird barbecue

Monday at Rock Legion

ROCK – Rock American Legion Post 559 will have an “early bird” barbecue meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Lions clubhouse in Rock. Participants are asked to bring meat to grill and their own eating utensils.

Members will also have an opportunity to pay their 2015 membership dues.

Grief support group

ESCANABA – The Grief Support Group, sponsored by OSF Home Care Services, will meet Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at Central United Methodist in Escanaba.

OSF Home Care Services offers a monthly grief support group in Delta and Dickinson counties. The group offers a warm, caring and confidential environment that allows grievers the opportunity to be supported by others who understand.
