For those who are worried about the economy: there is hope. For years I’ve kept track of how much money I’ve found when walking downtown to the bank, post office, city hall, and elsewhere. Since 1996 I’ve found a total of $130.85. This year’s total of $1.23 is far behind the previous yearly averages of $7.27.
But, there is hope. I think the economy is gaining strength. This past Wednesday, I found a penny on Walmart’s parking lot and that afternoon another penny on the All Saints Church’s parking lot. So, things are picking up. I suppose the right thing to do is give All Saints its penny back. What do you think?
