Fizz-Boom-Read closing Story Hour booming success

GLADSTONE – The Gladstone Public Library held a closing story hour to end the Summer Reading Program. Seventy-nine children and 49 volunteers and adults attended the one-hour program last Wednesday.

Volunteers read stories to the children, music was provided by Julie Aschbacher, and the attendees made a snake craft. A special treat was enjoyed by all the youngsters.

This closing party wrapped up the reading program with 307 children from the ages of 2 10 and 114 young adults. This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Library, Altrusa Club, and many local businesses.
