$1,700 raised for Honor Flight Mission VII
A total of $1,700 was raised on Aug. 14 toward Mission VII of the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight courtesy of The Throttle Bar in Little Lake and Boogren MI TECH. Mission VII, scheduled for Sept. 4, will consist of 80 World War II and Korean War veterans who will see their memorials free of charge in Washington, DC. The flight will depart the Delta County Airport on Sept. 4, at 7:30 a.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. The public invited to the “Welcome Home” celebration with the doors opening at 7 p.m. On hand for the presentation were: from left front, Paula Waeghe, Honor Flight Committee member, and Amanda Washburn and Mindy Retherford, representing The Throttle.
