Remember When?

The Valley Queen II replica of the 1920s sternwheeler is shown in T.D. Vinette’s northshore building just prior to its christening in May 1984. The $500,000 riverboat was Vinette’s largest size craft the Delta County shipbuilder had ever constructed to that date. It was used as a sightseeing vessel operating in Lake Winnebago near Oshkosh, Wis., after its launching and maiden voyage that same month.
