Barton – LaFoille

MANISTIQUE – The gardens of Castle Farms was the setting for the wedding of Deanna Rose Barton and Dale Jeffrey LaFoille on Saturday, June 14, in Charlevoix. Caleb Varoni officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony in the Queen’s Courtyard.

The new Mrs. LaFoille is the daughter of David and Tooter Barton of Manistique. She is a 2004 graduate of Manistique High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2009 from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2013 from Marygrove College. She is currently a fifth-grade teacher with the Manistique Area Schools.

Dale is the son of Dan and Donna LaFoille, also of Manistique. He is a 2000 graduate of Manistique High School. After many years traveling for pipeline construction business, Dale has settled in Manistique and is an employee of FutureMark Paper.

The bride’s cousin, Nicole Fairchild, served as matron of honor. Sharing the roll as maid of honor were her cousin, Michelle Nelson, and friend, Eliza Worley-Ekstrom. Bridesmaids were: Scottie Barton, sister-in-law of the bride; Alyssa Larsen, friend and cousin of the bride; and Mandy Spettel and Desiree Downing, both friends of the bride.

The duties of the best man were undertaken by the groom’s friend, Ryan Weber. Groomsmen were: Darren LaFoille and Dan LaFoille, brothers of the groom; Brian Barton, friend and brother of the bride; and Joe Hinkson, Dave Ekstrom, and Jeramie Williams, all friends of the groom.

Seating guests were Ryan Olson, friend of both the bride and groom, and Mike LaFoille, cousin of the groom. The flower girl was Amber Fairchild, cousin of the bride, and the ring bearer was Landon Weber, son of the best man. The bride and groom’s goddaughter, Breslyn Barton, was the sign bearer.

Jessica Vitale, friend of the bride and groom, was the vocal soloist at the beginning of the ceremony. Readers during the ceremony included Stacey Morrison and Rebekah Weber, both friends of the bride and groom.

A reception in the East Garden Room at Castle Farms followed the ceremony for family and friends.

The newlyweds will travel to St. Lucia at the end of March for a honeymoon. The couple resides in Manistique.
